Everything we believe in and support revolves around truly healthy living.

Our menus ~

Each ingredient we use serves an significant purpose...Usually due to its nutritional density, health benefits and cleanliness (lack of chemicals and additives), or because it is in season and people love eating it.

Our ingredients only come from places that nurture and care for what they are producing. We support small farmers and ranchers who follow strict organic and humane practices. So you will find ingredients from many such farms and ranches in our menu.

We love eating for vitality and longevity (who likes feeling under par?)  We therefore  love eating mainly fruits and veggies. There are many great meals made with just a few completely natural foods...our menus are full of them!

Our service ~

Our people, from the founding partners throughout our organization, care. We are passionate about what we do and how we do it. Customer service is not a department at green2go, it is our primary focus ~ providing our customers with the best quality food and service, always.

We serve our food2go in biodegradable packaging. You can finish your meal at home and toss the container and utensils into your garden to help it grow!  We do this because we can not stand the amount of plastic and trash on and in our earth.

We also serve you in our restaurants on recycled dishes, glasses and silverware.  It is only fair to give our serving items an extended life, and it is fun finding pieces we love!

Our gardens ~

We love planting herbs and plants so much that we also take time and care to produce our own worm tea, aka worm poop, a fertilizer that works miracles! See our give2grow farms section in this site for more info.

You will find our gardens everywhere you find us!

Our story ~

A journey like ours never happens overnight. It has taken us years to get to this point.  Along the way we have come across SO MANY people we admire, trust and support.  The best way we can support their causes or teachings is to present them to you!

The following are some bits about people, books, organizations and movements we admire and love (in no particular order). We hope you feel the same. If you do, please share it with people you care about ~ pass this page along. Thanks!

The Story of Stuff

Here is the full version of this very important movie (22 minutes).  It is worth taking the time to watch this simple and wonderful explanation about all the 'stuff' we use.

Our consumer-driven lifestyle makes us notorious worldwide, for our wasteful habits, which have very far reaching destructive implications for the future of our planet.

Just before Thanksgiving in 2008, a fire burned everything I and my family had.  Nearly 50 years of accumulating stuff disappeared up in smoke. I generally do not miss any of it, although some of the art and jewelry were very meaningful and valuable, passed down to me from my mother and grandmother.

Hopefully my kids have learned that the important things in life are not 'stuff' that can easily go up in smoke...and therefore, they will not accumulate a lot of stuff, which turns into junk that fills our landfills.

If each person thought twice before buying more stuff, perhaps we could reverse this dangerous, unhealthy path we have been forging.

Please take a look at this important film.

Palindrome: Lost Generation

This young lady was 20 years old when she created this short Palindrome.  A Palindrome is a word or phrase that reads the same backward as forward.

This short video of her Palindrome is really amazing and moving...and incredibly insightful.  Hopefully many people of her generation feel the same.  If this were true, our future would be in very good hands.
